Warren G.(Warren Griffin III) grew up in Long Beach, Cali listening to Jazz, Soul, and funk.He hung out at a local record store called V.I.P. and eventually started a group called "213", with Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg. They practiced in the back of V.I.P. and Snoop cut a demo called "Super Duper Snooper". Warren passed the demo on to Dr. Dre (his half brother). Dre invited them to come work with him at his studio and they would later appear on "The Chronic" with Snoop making some heavy contributions. G's break came from his work on "Indo Smoke", a song off the Poetic Justice soundtrack. Soon after he recorded his debut album, "Regulate...G Funk Era" and had a huge hit with the song "Regulate". G. returned in '97 with "Take A Look Over Your Shoulder", a relatively unnoticed album. Proving he's still going strong in '99 he released his 3rd album, "I Want It All".
