Toronto saxophonist whose musical experience includes jazz combos, vintage R&B, big bands, lounge groups, theatre and cabaret, klezmer, zydeco, folk groups and parade bands.
Usually fronts small combos, featuring a repertoire of modern jazz standards, Latin jazz & vintage R&B.
In recent years has worked in a duo format with pianists Jason Agouris and Julian Yarrow.
Lately has begun to explore the possibilities of the saxophone as a solo instrument, an interest that has led to his 2009 collection of improvisations "Voices."
In the 1980s and early 90s played with two progressive musical theatre and dance companies: the South African-Canadian group Siyakha and the Basta! Cultural Ensemble. Co-founder of the latter.
