The songwriters for Up From Under are Luke Rountree and Will Stucky, both of whom are in the midst of their college education. Rountree is studying English at the University of Central Oklahoma; Stucky is studying music at Oklahoma City University.

We began writing original music at sixteen. Our songwriting has gone through many changes since that time. We are inspired by artists such as: Caedmon's Call, Counting Crows, Bob Dylan, The Doves, Ben Folds, Radiohead, Paul Simon, The Wallflowers, Waterdeep, Derek Webb, Robby Webb, & Weezer. There are hints of each of these names in our music, but the blend creates a deliberate attempt at an authentic sound.

Our shows have ranged from outdoor festivals to intimate coffee shops, creating a diverse experience in each show. We often play small shows with light orchestration (acoustic guitars / percussion), but we enjoy playing with an entire band of friends (electric guitars, etc.). We have played with...
