The group gets their point across that it's all about communicating a relevant message to today's generation about "Who God is" and how "God can be there for you", in songs relating to "day to day" issues. The Union has been together for 3 years. It was formed by Danta Johnson who has been singing since he was a child. Originally, he was in the process of forming a vocalist group that wouldn't allow themselves to dedicate fully to the project, so he went on to producing a CD on his own. While he was in the studio one day, Edward Manning Jr. and Willie Bennett were there to lend some support, when it was decided that they would work together.
