Ty, A native of Chicago IL,
was the lead singer of the R&B group BlackTye.
Songwriter and producer for various artist in the industry,such as
Chris Jasper (The Isley Brothers),
Brothas by choice, Kemistry and
Slim daddy just to name a few.

He aquired his technical skills from sitting at the mixing console with engineering greats like Jeff Lane
(Chicago recording company)
The mastermind behind such artist as
Aaliyah, Quest and the Michael Jackson Dangerous project.
Ty was also granted the opportunity
to work along side Gary Louizo,Head engineer For the band Styx, Diana Ross
as well as Chaka Khan.
In the mid 1990's
Ty embarked on a solo carrer inspiring
his return to gospel music.
He began performing with numerous choirs nationwide and appearing on the Willie Wilson Sunday morning gospel show with host Vicki Winans.
