Filthy rich stockbrokers and socialites tripped over panhandlers while trying to outrun muggers. 42nd Street was still a den of iniquity, chaos and mayhem reigned supreme. Over in the borough of Brooklyn, these problems grew tenfold. In an out-of-control metropolis, the borough of Kings was the undisputed champion of ruthlessness. The place where other boroughs feared to tread bred wild children who absorbed the danger, hard attitude, and street savvy through every fiber of their being and wore it like a badge of honor. Only the exceptionally intelligent, resilient, and mentally independent survived the many pitfalls and managed to arrive alive in 2006. Our artist is one of these urban warriors.
