TONY QUINN. I've been singing since I was about 6 years old.In those days I mainly mimicked other people on the radio.I gradually learned what music was all about,my mother used to sing as did my father or so I was told.Anyway I grew up with the knowledge and started to listen to Elvis Presley,Gene Vincent,Buddy Holly,Eddie Cochran,Chuck Berry,BBKing,Muddy Waters and many more.It's funny how times change and also the music.My first stage appearance was in 1977,I was 17 at the time.I was invited on to the stage by a guy named Griff,he was into 50s Rock 'n' Roll.He asked if I knew any songs by Carl Perkins,I said well I only know one and that's Blue Suede Shoes.He said fine what key are you singing it in,I didn't have a clue what he was talking about.He said,that's ok you just start singing and we'll do the rest.And so that's what happened,my career started there and then and I've never looked back.And so in the years to come I moved to Yorkshire for 5 years,studied music,got a band t...
