What started as a hoax in the spring of 1999 has now evolved into a full fledged onslaught of street punk and roots rock n' roll. Hailing from the north Pittsburgh region, Tommy Gutless has spent the past two years refining their sound and redefining the limitations of the genre. They spent many years in various local bands before, Taking on a wide range of influences, Tommy Gutless sound a little like Boston’s now defunct the Vigilantes getting beat up by early Swingin’ Utters with the help of the Bruisers, all the while the Hudson Falcons are putting money into the jukebox for Johnny Cash and Cock Sparrer songs. Having logged in hundreds of shows and thousands of miles, the members of Tommy Gutless capture the true spirit of American rock n' roll with the street-wise working class attitude expected from the iron city.
