The Sweeper story began in late 2003. Sweeper is a four piece alternative rock band. Sweeper's solid foundation includes a various mix of styles ranging from oz rock to alternative prog-punk. Sweeper's music has been described by audiences as a "wall of sound" with styles being comparable to You am I, Bob Dylan, The Jam and Muse. Sweeper members originated from the Southern Flinders Ranges in country SA but are now based in Adelaide: Dan Woolford on vocals, guitar and harmonica. Brother Ryan on lead guitar and vocals. W. Shane Forster on drums/percussion and Matt Kelsh on Bass. Having reached #3 on the Three-D and SAMIA (AWESAM) charts Sweeper forsee a solid future with ambition to produce CD's, tour interstate and to recieve national recognition.
