Stolen Element is a four man ska–punk band with a sound similar to Sublime, 311, and NOFX. Formed in 1999, in Snowshoe, WV, the members include Shawn Owen (25-vocals, guitar), Bill Browning (25– guitar, vocals), Pat Cumashot (25– bass), and Andy Hall (25- drums, vocals). They are currently based out of Annapolis, MD. Stolen Element really began a very long time ago. It was about 3rd grade when all four members met each other. Growing up together in rural West Virginia doesn’t offer a lot of options. Any spare time was spent playing music and snowboarding together. This is where they were first introduced to a wide variety of music, from punk rock to hip hop to reggae to classic rock to speed metal and on and on, which can all be heard as influences in Stolen Element’s sound . After the guys all graduated high school, they moved to Morgantown, WV, home to the beloved Mountaineers!
