Probably the most underated band of the punk movement, Stiff Little Fingers originlly formed in the english oppressed city of Belfast, Ireland by Jake Burns(lead vocals,Lead guitar), Henry Cluney(Backing vocals, Rhythm guitar), Ali McMordie(Bass,Backing vocals), and Brian Faloon(Drums) in 1978. Having no night life and the constant threat of violence and police brutality the people of Belfast stayed mainly in the areeas where they lived. This of course lead to the forming of Ireland's(and one of the whole movements) best punk band. An explosive band with fast, passionate, ferocious lyrics dealing with the harsh realities of growing up in a war torn, oppressed Northern Ireland, Stiff Little Fingers(named after a Vibrators song) burst on to the scene with the release of the badly recorded yet amazing album Inflammable Material.
