When you think of a spore, most people, by now, have heard and acknowledge it as a bacterial fungus, most recently related to anthrax and biological weapons. But, in reality, these spores have been around long before it became a newscast story. Not that they don’t carry the same characteristics. A spore can rest in a dormant state until the environment is favorable for development. As in the true meaning of the word, that’s exactly what this band did. Half of the members are alumni of The Spores, part of New England’s music scene rockers of the past. When The Spores departed, a few went on to explore other projects and keep up with modern music as it was turning the corner towards a combination of alternative, heavy metal and powerful rhythmic melodies. With the new influences that were flooding the air waves and music stores, they couldn’t sit back and listen without wanting to explore the sub genre itself.
