Soul Funktion began in 2004 we created Soul Funktion with a goal in mind, to create funky/soul felt music with conscious lyrics this concept originated with a friends comment which was "man you guys (Soul Funktion) have an obligation to spread consciousness through your music" so when we set out to write for Soul Funktion we kept this in mind. We have so many influences since we both listen to various genres of music. So we are hard to place in one category you might hear an alternative edge, a jazzy edge, an R & B edge even a country edge to our music.
