Parable - A short, simple story, usually of an occurrence of a familiar kind, from which a moral or religious lesson may be drawn



When Detroit producer/arranger, Jewel Silas formulated choir/group “Parables”, there were specific elements to be brought together as well as criteria to be met. This included an undying conviction for Jesus Christ, have humility with strength being led of the Holy Spirit and a now faith in God. “Parables” consist of 11 members. A combination of singers, soloists, poets, mimes, writers, arrangers and musicians, some of which have before been members of other renowned gospel groups and choirs. We, even being of different churches and denominations, yet see this one common zeal for the salvation of souls through this music ministry God mandated to us.
