Side Seat Driver is an exciting band about to burst onto the scene in a big way. Based in Atlanta, Side Seat Driver is something of an enigma in comparison to others in their genre. One description of the band is "Seattle meets Sabbath" with shades of acts like Clutch and Rush being evident. Heavy grinding riffs, explosive guitar work and dynamic stage performances make SSD a band to watch for. Bassist and Vocalist, Tracy Towne formed Side Seat Driver with Guitarist Fran Mann in the summer of 2003. Tracy had moved to Atlanta from Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1997, but could not find the right people to create great rock music. In the search for others with a fresh new approach, Towne teamed up with Miami, Florida native Mann and began working on songs. After a short while it was evident that the pair had stumbled upon something very special.
