What's up with The WHY Band...
The WHY band is an experimental collaboration. The players include Dwayne Raper drums/vocals, Dustin Wayne on lead guitar, Aaron Johnson on bass/vocals, and myself on rhythm guitar/vocals. Currently, we perform 'rocked out' versions of some my originals and quite a few covers. Keep an ear out and we'll see where this adventure leads :)
Curious? Well, a good friend caught us on her little digital camera and made some videos for us to share. Pretty rough... but we all appreciate the effort.

Born June 12th, 1986 in St. Petersburg, Florida, Sean launched his solo career in October 2004 with the DIY release of an EP "Angel "; follwed by self-released CDs: "Angel" in April 2005; followed by "Family Portrait" June 2005; "Heart, Mind and Soul" October 2005; and "Past and Future" May of 2006. "You... the EP" was DIY project, released in September 2006, followed by the CD "The Heart Speaks" January 2007. His latest project "So Far" was released December 15, 2007. Sean is continuously writing and recording new songs.
Instruments - Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Harmonica and Keyboard
Style of Music - Acoustic, Folk Rock, Indie Rock, Alternative-Country, Blues (Sean's music tends to blur the lines)
Influences - Nirvana, The Wallflowers, Iron and Wine, Pearl Jam, Toby Keith

Catching Up
March, April and May 2008 have been busy with house concerts and writing new songs. I will have some new demos up for you later in June, and begin recording for the next as yet untitled CD in July, with an anticipated release date in December 2008.
There are still some "So Far" CD's available for purchase. All CD's ordered will be signed.

Valentine's Day is coming...
Wishing everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day! Perhaps, it's a bit early, but I've made "You... (the ep)" - all 5 tracks - downloadable for FREE here at ISOUND and at REVERBNATION. Songs about love - when it's good, when it isn't and when it's just gone. Get these 5 songs for FREE between now and Feb. 15th. I've been busy writing more new songs. I'll be testing them out when I perform live so watch for upcoming gigs.
Tour plans are slowly starting to come together. This will be my first, so it will be an interesting process as I figure out how it all works. I'm really looking forward to meeting internet friends and lots of new people. More info on the tour as plans progress.

Your support has been amazing!
To celebrate selling out the CD's for 'The Heart Speaks' - there will be a FREE song to download every week for the next 15 weeks!
You can still purchase the tracks from 'You... the EP' and "The Heart Speaks', or you can slowly collect them all (one track per week) over the next 15 weeks.
I am anticipating being able to announce the release date of the next album in early July. September is the target for now, but work is still in progress.
There will be more demos posted as I finish them. Some of them will make the cut for the new album. It will be a process, and I'm excited to be able to share it with you.
I'll be announcing some new gigs soon and will be performing some of my new material live for you.

PLAYER/MP3s PROBLEM
My player here is NOT WORKING... BUT - IT IS WORKING at SEANKORAKAS.COM and on my MYSPACE PAGE Playing songs from the MP3 page seems to work fine (one song at a time). Also my songs have disappeared from your personal station players. So, if you had my songs in your station player before today - you will need to add them again. Not sure what happened... but hopefully, soon everything will be fixed.

New Tracks
My other new tracks are There, The Letter, Behind Your Eyes, and All of You. Still to come this month are Where You Gonna Run, Seventeen and Change.
In September most of the older tracks will be replaced by updated versions of the same songs, and a few more new tracks will be added.

If you live in the Tampa Bay area come party at Sportscasters, 2655 E. Bay Dr., Largo, FL on Monday, July 10th from 9pm to 1am. No cover. Ages 18 and up. I'll be playing a couple of sets and would love to meet you. My friend Rich is bringing his band, Small Change and they totally rock!
