UPDATE: SCOT'S MP3'S ARE NOW DOWNLOADABLE!!! Scot Steven grew up equally influenced by hard rock / heavy metal, classical music, and academics. His initial musical interest was classical piano. Playing since the age of 10, he was performing concert pieces by high school. While a college student, he wrote a short set of piano compositions, which he performed in concert at Caltech. Meanwhile, his interest in vocals was sparked by two opposing forces: heavy metal vocals on one hand, and opera / choral music on the other. He was momentarily the youngest member of the San Diego Opera Chorus, in 1993 - 94. Shortly afterward, in San Diego, Scot joined his first college band, "Paradigm," followed by recording projects with progressive rock band "Citizen Myth," led by guitarist / songwriter Jeff Taylor.
