It has always been difficult to describe my music to people because everyone will have a different opinion on a song. The best way is for you to make your own mind up on it and let me know!
I grew up listening to artists like John Lennon, Cat Stevens, The Kinks, Elton John and Queen to name some of the bigger influences. Through these influences evolved a very strong idea of what a song should consist of to make it popular.
I was born in Bedfordshire in 1984 and from 14 years old I wanted to be the next John Lennon. Still he remains the biggest influence in my life.
Between the ages of 17 and 19 music played a huge part in my life. Along with developing my creativity it was a way to show my emotion as I didn't really have any other outlet at that point.
At 21 I had the opportunity to move to the Middle East with a great college friend - Chris Atkins. During our college days we used to compose together in our spare time for fun, but now being in the same place gave us the chance to take our music to a whole new level. This is really what the new EP - 'Featherstoned' demonstrates, the transition from then to now.
