Royal Kent is the spoken word artist and co-creator of the World Rhythm Jazz ensemble COPUS of San Francisco. A pioneering poet, he began his poetic endeavors somewhere between the 'beat' and 'slam' eras. At one stage of his career, he opened major Reggae concerts as MC/Poet for the likes of The Wailers, Toots and The Maytals, Steel Pulse, Eek A Mouse and others.
