Rosebuddy was formed in Montréal in 1994. The first incarnation of the band included Neil Briffett(guitar/ vocals), Rod Bonet (bass/vocals) and Kris Wagner (drums). They quickly established themselves as a dynamic live act with over 150 shows in both Canada and the U.S. Numerous releases followed, including the Sled EP, the On the Nod single, and the critically acclaimed CD Over Macho Grande. Changing priorities caused the group to disband in early 1996. Rosebuddy reformed in mid-1997 with Neil and new members Kris Poll (bass/ vocals) and James Misata (drums/ vocals). They released the Viewers Like You EP in 1998 on Montréal's Wongerground label, and then in 2000 the Issues EP was released with No Records of Halifax. Then they went to the studio for a VERY long time. The Scent and the Sound/Last Band Standing single was released in the fall of 2003. Which brings us to now, the 10th anniversary (yoiks!) of the band, and the release of their first full-length CD in many years. Sett... |
