Global Battle of the Bands Best New Band Scotland 2005 The Rise are a young, original 4 piece from Dundee and have been together as a band for just over 2 years, starting off as a typical indie band the guys soon found there sound in a harder rock/dance genre. Pounding beats and screaming vocals are accompanied by driving riffs and good old fashioned rock n roll bring this band together. In there first 12 months the band had self organized and funded over 20 gigs in Dundee, Edinburgh, Motherwell, Aberdeen & Glasgow including a requests to support Whole Lotta Led (Led Zeppelin tribute band) and The Complete Stone Roses (Stone Roses tribute band). The band has continued in the same vain playing more self organized gigs over the following 6 months. The time had then come for them to record there first ‘proper’ EP.
