Ric has become a driving force on the Vancouver Island music scene since 1990. As well as being a performing artist with 3 cds to his credit, Ric founded the Nanaimo Songwriters Circle in 1991 which meets monthly at the Nanaimo Art Gallery (downtown) and Island Showcase in 1998 which has become an annual event featuring songwriters from Vancouver Island including Valdy, Colleen Eccleston, Gary Fjellgaard, Shari Ulrich and many, many others.
In 2000, Ric released his debut cd 'the Wind Gone Mad' and married songwriter/performer Elly Parker.
In the summer of 2002, Ric created an online CD Store and Archive for Vancouver Island Recording Artists called CdIsle.ca Today it boasts over 1500 cds recorded by island artists in British Columbia.
In 2002 Ric and Elly released a family album of Ric's tunes called 'Magic Garbage Can'. It sold out and was re-released in 2004 with an additional live track of the now popular 'Michael' song.
Ric's studio bLUE eCHO just released his 3rd cd 'Ball of Flames' in 2005.
