Red Cassette kinda happened by accident. Consisting of just one member, it basically came about after the band Andrew was previously in split up in 2001. Since that point he also tried to start a new band with a fellow member of the afore mentioned band. Unfortunately due to the frequent problem of commitment phobia the band never gigged, although they did record a demo that no-one ever heard apart from the members. Anyway, we digress. The point being Andrew felt the only person who knew exactly what he wanted to do in terms of writing music was himself! (also there is the bonus of no arguments! what he likes goes in!). Self producing and recording is also a bonus of working alone. He records everything through a tiny internal mic on his Mac, and is therefore pretty Lo-Fi. Subsequently, the music Andrew makes as Red Cassette is quite personal and very honest, but he doesn't take himself too seriously either.
