Jeffrey Hyman,Tommy Erdelyi, John Cummings and Douglas Colvin were all born in NYC and met up in Forest Hills High and began to share their love of music. Then the boys decided they would join together and form a band. The name The Ramones came from Paul McCartney's days of the Silver Beatles and used a fake name. Then theboys changed their names too, Jeff becomeing Joey, Gouglas became DeeDee, John became Johnny and Tommy became...TOMMY! They then adopted the last name Ramone. The band lineup was DeeDee on vocals, Johnny on guitar, at the time a guy named Ritchie was bass, but quit so DeeDee became bass. Tommy was acting lie the manager and began to write a few songs. That is when the trend of Iwanna and I dont wanna became popular in their songs. Soon as thwy got there next gig Tommy took u drums so Joey could sing.
