R-EZ was born Aurrie Banks on July 24, 1985 in Bridgeport, CT. He was born on the east side, and then moved to the north end. After being evicted him and his mother moved back to the east side and lived with his grandmother. R-EZ started listening to rap seriously back in 5th grade. He was always put on punishment by his mother for bad grades. So one day when he was grounded he started listening to his clock radio and he would put it on Hot 97. From that day on he listened to hip hop all the time. R-EZ then started rapping when he was 12 years old, but used to play around with the words. He didn’t start to take a look at his abilities until he was about 16 going by the name of Majestiq. He then used to battle other mc's online in AOL chat rooms.
