A fusion genre that combines elements of “punk rock” with “pop music” is the actual text book definition of “Pop-Punk ”. Truer words were never spoken when it comes to a local band from Manteno, Illinois called; The Projection. Some of the Projection’s band members were just babies in the mid 90’s when breakthrough Pop Punk albums like “Dookie”(Green Day) “Smash” (The Offspring) and “Enema of the State” (Blink 182) were released. A good listen to any of the Projection recordings will show some of these strong influences. But the Projection has something else....something that grabs a hold of you right away. They are 4 very diverse and talented young men, each with their own unique style and musical agenda that somehow all falls in together. This mix becomes great songs, killer tones, gentle and sometimes abrupt storyfilled lyrics, and an energy that moves across their stages like an electrical current. When Jacques Lamore guitarist/singer/songwriter yells “everybody jump”....you jum...
