My Bio: Pocahontas was born in Los Angeles, California but raised in Trenton, New Jersey then later moved to Long Beach, California. She began writing poetry at the age of 11, then later on transcended to battling fellow male peers in junior high school. Some of her inspirations are Lauryn Hill, Queen Latifa, Rah Digga and Foxy Brown. Everyday, Pocahontas constantly metamorphisized her flows and writing skills. Pocahontas met Young Bo in 2001. She had books and books of lyrics that she had written over the years. She persistently tried to get put on his team but had to pay a whole lot of dues and boot camp training. Finally, Young Bo put her on one of the strongest teams on the West Coast, The Spiritual Thugs. Other members of the group include the legendary Chilly Mac and Jag Bomb. Pocahontas was featured on Young Bo's album, "This Is Hip Hop" and also the Spiritual Thugs album "Religion, Sports, Politics" which are both available in stores now. These albums also include special features by Kurtis Blow, Ice T, The Narrator R.B.X., Silkk The Shocker, C-Murder and Young Trump from The Rich Boys. She is currently working on a future project called "Hoodamerica" with the worlds next super producer, Hoodnoiz. This album is pure venom from the next feminine phenomenon (Pocahontas) to L.A.'s B-Boy(Young Bo). It will be released in January, 2007.
