Brooklyn native, Prism da Xamacan, met New Jerusalem's, DJ Sonny Burnit, in the late 80's. They were drawn together by their love of reggae music and hip hop. In 1993, Prism started impressing the New Brunswick music scene with his off the chain freestyles and his damaging delivery. Around the same time, DJ Sonny Burnit was amazing crowds, spinning rare reggae classics that kept people, old and young, dancing through the night. In 2003, fed up with the direction of hip hop and it's m.c.'s, Prism urged DJ Sonny Burnit to create hip hop beats that would bring back the authentic feel to the genre. It didn't take long before DJ Sonny Burnit, a.k.a. Son Burn, started dropping fire! Together, with the rest of the Unified Heads Crew, Prism and Son Burn are finally ready to take on the lackluster hip hop scene and transform it back to when pounding beats and supreme lyrical talent was necessary to be heard. Take a listen for yourself and make the call. You won't be disappointed. |
