The Industrial/Alternative metal band known as Powerman 5000, was formed in the early 90s, in Boston, Massachussets. Their first album, "The Blood Splat Rating System", did recieve great review, but did not sell a lot. By the end of the year, it had only sold 100,000 copies. Powerman 5000 knew that they had to step it up with the next album. In 1997, Powerman 5000 released their debut album "Mega Kung Fu Radio." It recieved great ratings, AND went platinum by the end of the month. Now, even though Powerman 5000 recieved great success from Mega Kung Fu Radio, they thought they could do a whole lot better, and they proved this with their third album "Tonight The Stars Revolt", released in 1999.
