PHILIPPIAN IMMANUEL MICHAEL MITCHELL was born on December 1, 1979 in Houma, Louisiana to Mary Louise Mitchell and Joseph Ray Simmons; life wasn't all good for PHILIPPIAN and his family. Raised in Senator Circle Housing Community aka Mechanicville Projects was a big eye opener. Seeing the lower part of his city at first hand allows PHILIPPIAN to rap about life from a realistic point of view. Living poor and broke, He witness the pain and struggle his family had to face on a daily base. Both of PHILIPPIAN's parents were incarcerated when he was young, so he and his siblings bounce from relative to relative to live with, up until his teenage years. Along the way of growing up, PHILIPPIAN picked up rapping because of his love for music. Music gives PHILIPPIAN a way to express his true feelings about what's going on around him.
