The Offspring is a Punk/nu-metal band that was formed in the early 80s by Dexter Holland (vocals), Kevin Wasserman (guitarist), Greg Kriesel (bassist), and Ron Welty (drummer). In 1989, they released their first self-titled album, which featured hits like, Jennifer Lost the War, Black Ball, and Beheaded, however this was only the beginning of The Offspring's success, and it sold over 100,000 copies. In 1993, The Offspring released their second album, entitled "Ignition". Ignition sold over 500,000 copies, and featured awesome hits like, Dirty Magic, Kick Him When He's down, and Burn it up. In 1994, The Offspring released their third album entitled, "Smash", which sold over 2 million copies, and allowed The Offspring to tour a lot. Smash featured amazing hits like Self-Esteem, Come out and Play, and Bad Habit. In 1997, The Offspring released yet another greatly successful album called, Ixnay on the Hombre.
