NUÑEZ began its most recent incarnation in late 2002, hailing from the southern state of Florida. Linda Nuñez, already a well-respected solo artist, returned home to Orlando after a stint in Nashville and joined forces with radio personality Melissa Foxx. Foxx recognized the talent and potential that Nuñez possessed and began utilizing her strong presence within the local music scene to assist in the promotion, marketing and booking of the band. Meanwhile, Nuñez continued looking for the ideal players to round out her project. After several personnel changes things really began to gel for NUÑEZ. In particular, lead guitarist Chuck Dorris has proven himself to be not only a fine musician, but also a solid composer, collaborating with Nuñez on the title track for the newest album, CRY MERCY. The strong line-up combined with a ton of community support and plenty of high-profile performances have helped NUÑEZ develop into a solid determining force within the unsigned music arena...
