NightWish is a progressive folk rock duo that was formed by Linda Chartier from Scotland and long time local rock/jazz guitarist Steve Lam. Together with Linda’s angelical voice and Steve’s passionate guitar playing, they have evolved into a very unique style with beautiful harmonies that is quite rare these days in the local music scene. Linda Chartier (Vocals) - Linda has performed in England and Scotland for a number of years, as a member of a band, a duo partner and as a solo artist. Linda has been classically trained and has a wide vocal range that lets her perform in many styles, including Rock, Folk, Country, Jazz ballads and upbeat numbers. For the last few years Linda has been gigging in Clubs across the central belt of Scotland both as part of a Duo and as a Solo performer and has developed a repertoire of more than 150 numbers.
