For hip hop artist Nate James, it really is all about the message. In a time where people usually identify rap music with mindless sex and violence, Nate James makes a conscious effort to speak to real life situations and bring positive solutions in his lyrics. Nate began seriously rapping in 2000 in the midst of an intense ministry program in his hometown Tacoma, Washington. Always seeking to communicate his message most effectively, Nate discovered that he had a natural ability to write rhymes. Hip hop became an addiction for Nate during the following years. Night after night staying up until 3am writing, freestyling, experimenting with word patterns etc. Nate had a hunger to rap whenever he could, and would always find local freestyle sessions where he could show off and develop his gift.
