Mudvayne consists of Kud (Chad Gray, vocals), Ry-Know (Ryan Maritinie, bass), Guurg (Greg Tribbett, guitar), and Spag (Matthew McDonough, drums). Mudvayne, a heavy metal plus band, calls their genre of music “math metal.” The group was formed in Peona, Illinois in 1996. Mudvayne immediately gained a large fan base in Illinois due to their stage antics and crazy performances. The group began touring. Mudvayne’s demo album was entitled Kill, I Oughta. Shortly after its release, the group signed a deal with Epic Records. In November 2001, Kill, I Oughta was re-packaged and re-released as The End of All Things to Come. Mudvayne’s debut album with Epic Records was entitled L.D. 50. The album’s title is a reference to the pharmaceutical count of lethal dosages for a person to overdose. L.D. 50 was produced by Garth Richards. Mudvayne also received help from Slipknot’s Shawn Grehan. Two singles from the album were “Prod” and “Death Bloom.” The group received positive reviews ... |
