Moonshadow is a one person, studio production musician. Originally trained in classical choir and piano, a great love for classical music was developed. Influenced by synthesizer musicians such as Isao Tomita and Wendy Carlos, among others, Moonshadow takes traditional classical music and carefully arranges synthesizer sounds to create an imaginary world or soundscape. Sometimes taking as long as a year to finish one piece, the music is molded and sculptured like clay to produce the scene and feeling the musician strives to convey. A classical piece such as Vivaldi’s “Winter” was carefully produced to give the listener the feeling of a cold, wintry blizzard or “Amazing Grace” where the listener is transported an imaginary place similar to that of the Highlands of Scotland. Moonshadow utilizes a wide range of synthesizers and sounds to achieve the end result, sometimes from sources that are not the norm.
Moonshadow also composes original music which is now starting to appear here along with his classic arrangements. We hope you will enjoy the distinctively different sound of Moonshadow.
