Although mainly known for his work with 8Ball, MJG’s 1997 album, No More Glory, was a commercial success that established MJG as a solo artist. No More Glory rose to #4 on the Billboard charts and was a certified gold release. MJG has recently completed his first solo album in eleven years entitled, This Might Be the Day. His first single, “Shades,” is already receiving radio airplay in the South. On tracks like “Ride with Me,” MJG shows growth as an artist, songwriter, and producer (he self-produced the entire album) willing to take creative risks that will bring a needed change to the game. This Might Be the Day is scheduled for a summer 2008 release and features songs with 8Ball, Gucci Mane, and Pleasure P (from Pretty Ricky). “I been kinda underground and getting my whole thing together to let the world know that I’m really not only an artist - I’m a writer, I sing, I produce, I do it all,” MJG says in describing his approach to This Might Be the Day.
