Mike Kennedy is a creative guitarist, composer, producer, arranger and music educator. He has been making music in the Philadelphia area for over 20 years in a variety of genres. Mike's formal education in guitar was completed at the University of the Arts, College of Performing Arts, in Philadelphia where he received both his Bachelors Degree in Jazz Guitar and his Masters Degree in Jazz Studies. His professional experience includes performances with renowned Philadelphia Jazz musicians, such as Larry McKenna and John Swana, and performances with commercially known international pop artists, such as Lou Rawls, Michael Feinstein, Bernadette Peters, Peter Nero and The Philly Pops and Elton John. In addition to composing, playing and producing his own albums, Mike is a sought after composer and freelance producer who has worked on numerous albums and projects in various musical genres, ranging from Bluegrass to Pop.
