Lord Caperell grew up in the streets of Detroit as a Local battle MC. Honing his skills in High School, in the same battle class as Boodang and Big Proof (RIP) from D12. He was in many battles through the beginning stages of his career. It wasn’t until after dropping out of high school that he began to take his career more serious. He put together a super rap group of MC’s known as SHYQUAN. The group put together several underground records and achieved small notoriety in the city. Caperell became a spearhead of the group as the lead battle artist. But it wasn’t until meeting up with Zhao-ski of Subterraneous fame did the Group began to spread its wings. Making a special appearance on his Debut album, “It’s a Black Operation” (2001) that he and Zhaoski became close friends.
