Lillix is a band from Cornerbrook, British Columbia, Canada. The group first consisted of sisters, Tasha-Ray Evin (guitar, vocals), older sister Lacey-Lee Evin (keyboard, vocals), and friend Louise Burns (bass, vocals). The group, who used to go by the name Tigerlilly, did concerts in their hometown. Eventually, a scratchy demo made it to the office of entertainment lawyer, Jonathan Simkin. Simkin saw potential in the band and helped the girls do a more refined demo. He then sent the demo to both Canadian and American record labels. The group was soon signed to Madonna’s Maverick Records in January 2001. Maverick then changed the group’s name to Lillix. Soon after signing to Maverick, lillix hired Kim Urhahn to be the group’s drummer (and some vocals). Lillix’s debut album, Falling Uphill, debuted in the Spring of 2003.
