~Lauryn Hill~ Lauryn Hill was born May 25th, 1975 in South Orange, New Jersey to a English teacher and a Computer Consaultant. She had a passion for music at a early age. Her parents would rock her to sleep with the sounds of R&B. Her parents placed strong emphasis on the importance of an education, but Lauryn still found time to fit music into her scheduele. When she 13, she sang “Who’s loving you” by Smokie Robinson on Showtime at the Apollo. She was highly involved in academics, poetry, singing, cheerleading, playing basketball and running track. She was voted homecoming queen at her high school, also. She started a acting career while still in high school. She landed a role in “As the world turns”. Her next role was on Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit with Whoopi Goldberg.
