Kevin Lyttle is THE major player on the soca scene. His mixture of soca, dancehall and R&B have etched his name in history and made him one of the most respected men in the music world today. The self-titled "New Soul Of Soca" was born on the West Indian island of St Vincent. From the age of seven, he had a burning desire to become a soca artist a desire that came from watching Michael Jackson in concert and also watching the unsigned talents in the yearly Road March King in the St Vincent Carnival. The teenage Kevin wrote his first song at 14 and went on to become St Vincent's biggest singing sensation, representing his country in tournaments throughout the Caribbean. 2001 was the breakthrough year for Kevin. He wrote and recorded a song called "Turn Me On".
