Back to the beginning, the band was formed originally with three members, Ruary/guitar, Nick/drums and Will/guitar because at that point there was no-one that we knew that could play bass. Rob was one our best friends at the time and we knew he was a great singer so we decided rather than find a bassist, we'd create one. So we found some crappy bass for Rob and taught him, and he picked it up pretty f@#$% quick. So after the first few practices in which we played about as loosely as a sunset boulevard hooker, we decided to give one of our friends the honour of having our noise at their party. It was the start of an era, okay maybe not quite an era, but it was certainly the start of something great.
