Seattle, Washington is not a city known for producing hip hop artists. Undoubtedly, it has been the breeding ground for prolific grunge rock superstars but few rappers, if any, have hailed from the ‘upcoast’. Emerging young talent, Json is a rapper with enough passion, skill, and drive to boldly represent Seattle and become one of the city’s major exports. His blend of hip hop appeals to the commercial mass and speaks the language and wisdom of the street. Seemingly, the rite of passage to every grand accomplishment is first to have a dream. Json is no stranger to dreaming. He fondly remembers, “When I was younger, I used to record tracks off the radio and MTV so [that] I could sit back and rewind them until I wrote and learned every lyric.
