Jug Honeyluv, Mc J-Luv, jSaY Jug Honeyluv is the first female rapper/singer (as a member of a group, not solo) who came out with an album in the Philippines. She was a member of a Hip-hop/R&B group called, 4 East Flava. There were other female solo mc's before her, though. However, during the outbreak of Filipino Hip-hop groups in the early 90s, she was the only active female MC at the time. Her experiences as an artist started long before then. Becoming the only "lady rapper" at that time was something that came as a surprise to her. While vacationing in her native country, a group mate approached her to be part of the Hip-hop group. Before that, she was offered to be part of an all-girl R&B/Hip-hop group, just like TLC. It was the start of a dream come true for Jug.
