Jonny Mernagh is a 25 year old singer songwriter from Swansea , Wales in the UK . Jonny started off playing guitar at the age of 18 and also decided to try his efforts at singing the same time . His influences include John Lennon , The Beatles , Oasis , Chuck Berry , Little Richard , Bon jovi , Rufus Wainwright and many more At the age of 19 he bought himself a multitracker and started to write and record his own tunes . He started off with just guitar vocals on a four track machine . A year on he developed his skills with the keyboard and harmonica to add to his own musical creations . After much encouragement and solo performences Jonny was asked to join a local band Called the Metros which he fronted . The Metros were a sucessful band in the area and progressed into the semi finals if the Band of Britain contest in May 2006 , however the band called it a day in october 2006 and Jonny started to focus on his solo work again .
