As an infant Mckenney and his family relocated to Monroe Street, a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland (20 minutes from the Baltimore Harbour). He everntually moved to Randallstown in the mid-90's and early 2000's. Don has described his childhood as "dark". He has made innumerable references in his music to his previous occupation as a street dealer, although he rarely provides details of his streetlife and childhood in interviews.
