The backbone of Jetpack Missing can be followed back 10 years. Both Mark and Scott got their start in the band What About Bob? They spent years developing a hard rock style all their own and building a musical chemistry that still stands out today. Scott eventually turned to side projects, where he joined up with Aaron. These side projects started to filter down to a distinct sound. They coninually filtered through members until the right mix was found.

A solid lineup was established when Mark and Greg joined the band and the soft smokey female voice of Sarah was added. Jetpack Missing had officially begun. Greg brought a technical alt-rock sound to the band, and the two guitar attack was a massive wall of sound! 2 years and one album later Sarah moved on to focus on other things.
