The band Jet stems from the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. The group consists of Nic Cester (guitar, vocals), Chris Cester (drums, vocals), Cam Muncey (guitar, vocals), and Mark Wilson (bass). Nic and Chris are brothers. Nic is three years older than Chris. Whiel growing up, both brothers hated Grunge music. They felt it was overly depressing, and they vowed to make music than was more related to the roots of Rock N’ Roll. After the group formed, Jet immediately began touring throughout Australia. They soon released a debut EP entitled The Dirty Sweet. At first, the group released 1,000 EPs only in Australia. It soon sold-out. They then released 1,000 more with the same outcome. Jet then signed to Elektra Records. Jet’s debut album, Get born, was released on October 7, 2003. The album, which was recorded at LA’ Sunset Studios, was produced by Dave Sardy (Marilyn Manson, The Dandy Warhols).
