Jamelia is yet another R&B/ pop icon to come out of the United Kingdom. The English singer was born and bred in a middle-class area in Birmingham, England and first shot to fame with her first single called "Call Me" from her debut albulm "Drama" in 2000. The single went down well with the British public and all of a sudden "Jamelia" was the word on everyones lips. Her public persona was amplified with her second single called "Boy Next Door" also taken from "Drama". Which took Jamelia into mainstream status and confirmed that Jamelia is here to stay. Then, in 2001, Jamelia fell preganant and took maternity leave from the music scene. Eyes watched Jamelia althrough her pregnancy. Anticipating a next albulm. It didnt come.
